Our business approach is built on long-term stability and entrepreneurial independence. Through efficient production processes, the responsible use of resources, and targeted investments, we lay the foundation for innovation, secure jobs, and lasting success – today and for generations to come.
Our contribution to society goes hand in hand with our commitment to the environment. We take a holistic view of the environmental impact of our business activities – from energy use and mobility to building infrastructure and supply chains. Our goal is to measurably reduce emissions, conserve resources, and actively lower our carbon footprint – step by step and with a long-term perspective.
Our commitment goes far beyond the operating room: As a healthcare company, we are driven to make a positive difference – both globally and locally. By sponsoring a child for every employee, we actively support education and equal opportunities worldwide. At the same time, we foster team spirit and well-being through targeted workplace health initiatives and local sports sponsorships. At Sutter, sustainability and social responsibility aren’t side notes – they’re part of who we are.
At Sutter Medizintechnik, our long-term success is built on the dedication and diversity of our team. We foster a work environment shaped by appreciation, personal growth, and lifelong learning. With modern, ergonomic workspaces, flexible hours, and targeted development programs, every team member has the opportunity to grow, thrive, and balance work and family life — all in support of a strong and sustainable future together.
Our Code of Conduct describes the principles according to which we act sustainably as a company. It contains clear guidelines on environmental and climate protection, resource-efficient management, sustainable procurement, and social responsibility. This ensures that our business practices meet the highest standards, not only ecologically but also ethically.

Our new company headquarters in Emmendingen, Germany, stand for our connection with the region. When it comes to the selection of executing trades Sutter has consciously chosen regional craftsmen. The architectural design of our offices and workspaces conveys parts of our corporate identity with a great deal of sensitivity. The use of solid wood as one of the oldest natural building materials was close to the hearts of the client and the architect duo, not only in terms of indoor climate.
The warmth radiating from the symbiosis of wood and other materials in our light-flooded spaces was 'made to measure' by the experts of Kiefer & Sohn GmbH − we enjoy being able to breathe nature every day...
The aspect of sustainability, which is a core value of our philosophy, played an essential role in the entire planning and construction process. It is reflected in the three pillars 'sustainable growth', 'planet' and 'people'.
For us, sustainable growth means combining economic strength and entrepreneurial independence with responsible action. With innovative products, a high level of in-house manufacturing, and long-term investments in our people and infrastructure, we lay a solid foundation for a successful and responsible future – and for secure, meaningful jobs that last.
With energy-efficient building technology, heat pumps, photovoltaic systems, and the use of certified green electricity, we are committed to operating in the most climate-neutral way possible. We also promote sustainable mobility through bike leasing programs, e-bike charging stations, and modern mobility solutions. Our new site in Emmendingen, built to the KfW 55 energy-efficiency standard*, along with our focus on resource-saving processes, reflects this commitment. Our goal: to continuously reduce our environmental footprint across all areas and conserve natural resources.
*The KfW 55 standard is a German benchmark for energy-efficient buildings. It means the building uses only 55% of the primary energy compared to a conventional new building, as defined by national regulations. This reflects a high level of sustainability and energy savings.
Our commitment to social responsibility is reflected in our mission to help patients by supporting physicians – and it’s a core part of our company culture. We support child sponsorships and advocate for children’s rights worldwide. Through regular initiatives in occupational health management, we also promote the well-being and cohesion of our teams. Sustainability matters deeply to us; at our Emmendingen site, we are committed to both ecological growth and social responsibility. These values are deeply rooted in our identity.
